McLeod, John, 1934-2022

Scottish composer b. Aberdeen.
Received his musical education in Germany and at the Royal Academy of Music in London where he was a composition pupil of Sir Lennox Berkeley.
He earned his living as a clarinettist, composer, conductor, teacher and lecturer.  
In 1970 he settled in Edinburgh and in 1974 became director of music at Merchiston Castle School.
