Lyall, Charles, 1958-

Charles Lyall was educated at Renfrew High School before moving to London where he developed a particular interest in avant-garde rock music.   On returning to Scotland he enrolled at Glasgow University in order to pursue his growing interest in classical music, composition and electro-acoustic music.  His first large-scale piece for tape was played at Musica Nova in 1984.
