Frederick Septimus Kelly, D.S.C.

b. May 29, 1881, Sydney; killed in action on Nov. 13, 1916, Beaucourt-sur-Ancre, France,   (pianist, composer, Olympic rowing gold medallist, 1908)

The Reid Concert programme of February 19, 1921 includes a biography of the composer and an account of the man and his music by his friend Leonard Borwick.
Frederick Kelly was also a friend of Donald Tovey.
