Claiborne-Dixon, Harriett, 1880-1930
Harriett Claiborne-Dixon was a pianist, cellist, organist and composer. She was educated at the Royal Academy of Music in London and became an Associate of the Academy in 1898. Professional female organists were rare and her performances elicited many comments. Harriett left a substantial liegacy to the Royal Academy of Music.
