The Reid Concert programmes were printed in a variety of formats from single pages printed on one or two sides; a single sheet folded to give four sides of print space up to 24- and even 36-page booklets with full analytical programme notes. Sample programmes and brochures are shown here in this photograph which features on the home page of the online database..

Social media and the Reid Concerts database

Over the summer I have been learning about Social Media for research and today I am delighted to report that this new blog page has been set up by Gavin Maxwell on the Reid Concerts database website.  A small Twitter button has also been added to the site and in the coming weeks I will add a Facebook page. The next challenge will be to keep up an active discussion on all three platforms and I am very much looking forward to this new experience and to contributing to the online communities related to my research into the history of the Reid Concerts at the University of Edinburgh.
