There was no Annual Reid Concert in 1844

Professor Sir Henry R. Bishop left the University of Edinburgh at the end of 1843 and did not plan a concert for February 1844.  The new professor, Henry Hugo Pearson (Pierson) was not appointed until June 1844.  He left the University after a few months and did not organise a concert in 1845.  The third annual concert took place in 1843, there was no concert in 1844 and the fourth annual concert was given in 1845.
