Programme Notes:

By D.F.T.
The reference to Dvořák's symphony no. 1 in D major, op. 65 is confusing: it may be a reflection of the publication that the orchestra was using or it is a mistake in the programme. Dvořák's symphony in D major is now considered to be no. 6, op. 60; op. 65 is a piano trio in F minor.
